Recycling is required by Wisconsin State Statutes and is required not only for residents, but also of commercial and industrial businesses, retailers, health care, facilities, non-profit and tax exempt properties, restaurants, and virtually everyone that generates waste.

Residential recyclable collection is every other week. Place all recyclable items in the green recyclable container.

Recycling bins may be purchased for $8 each at the City Hall Public Works Office - 400 La Crosse St, 5th floor or at the Recycling Office at Marco Drive - Isle La Plume.

We have a "dual-stream" collection system. That means newspaper is separate from all other recyclables. You can mix cans, aluminum, and glass together in your bin. Place newspaper in a separate paper grocery bag or bundle it with cotton string, then place the bag or bundle in or next to the recycling bin.
