Delivery of the new garbage and recycling carts for city-serviced residential properties is now complete. You must use your new carts for collection. If items are placed out in your old containers, it will not be collected. PLEASE NOTE that carts are assigned to your address by the serial # on the front of the cart. Write down the serial #'s for your records or call Harter's or the City for your serial #'s. If your carts are missing or stolen, check the surrounding area for your carts and call Harter's to see if they have a record of them scanned at a different property. If you cannot find your cart(s), please complete an incident report. If they are not found there will be an $85 fee per cart to replace them. Do not take carts placed at other people's properties. If you permanently mark your cart it will be your responsibility to clean it off at a later time or be billed accordingly. Cart Exchange requests can be made starting March 2014. During the month of March residents can request a one-time, no-charge exchange of carts. Any exchange requests after April 2, 2014 will be billed a service fee of $20. Currently cart exchange requests can only be made over the phone. If so, be sure to include your Name, Phone#, Address, and if you have them, the Serial #'s on the front of your cart. It will be a faster process when we return your call.
