Landfill Ban
As of September 1, 2010, a state wide ban was put into effect which prohibits electronics from being disposed of at landfills and incinerators. Because of this new ban, Harter’s Quick Clean-Up is no longer able to pickup electronics from residents along with their regular trash/large item pickup, etc. The following is a list of the now unacceptable devices that can no longer be picked up:
- TV’s
- Computer monitors
- Desktop computers, laptops
- Computer peripherals (keyboards, mice, hard drives, speakers, modems, etc)
- Fax Machines, printers, scanners, copiers
- DVD players, VCR’s, DVR’s and other video players
- Telephones with a video display (Cell Phones)
