    View the city's directory, and, if you have a question about something, you can look up the number for your department. Also you can view the Local Government Services Directory and get the pertinent information for anything from requesting a birth certificate to inquiring about the local farmer's market.

  • Fire Department
    It is the mission of the La Crosse Fire Department to provide progressive emergency services in the City of La Crosse in the most expeditious, yet safe and reliable manner possible. These services include but are not limited to fire suppression, rescue, water rescue, ice rescue, high angle response, hazardous materials response, emergency medical services, fire prevention, and fire investigation.

  • Maps (GIS)
    The City of La Crosse GIS (Geographic Information System) offers advanced mapping features and methods of analysis.

  • Payments
    You can make all of your City payments (licensing, utility bills, traffic tickets, etc.) in the Treasurer's Office (2nd Floor) at City Hall. As a reminder, City Hall is located at 400 La Crosse St., La Crosse, WI 54601. We can also accept credit card payments online or by phone.

  • Police Department
    The Police Resources Department is located on the 1st floor of City Hall, 400 La Crosse St., La Crosse, WI 54601; and is open Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM. The 6th Street entrance is open 24 hours per day.

  • Public Transit
    The Municipal Transit Utility is La Crosse's premier public transportation system. The MTU City Buses run just about everywhere in the city. Around the city there are blue signs that indicate that that is a bus stop. Visit the MTU webpage to get a listing of times, places, and costs to ride the buses.

  • Reports and Studies
    A central location for all reports and studies concerning the City of La Crosse.
