Special Olympics and Recreation 
The Special Olympics Program provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type activities for all children and adults with cognitive disabilities.

Individuals who are interested in joining these programs should contact the Special Olympics Office in order to receive a registration form and become enrolled (new participants only). All participants must have a current Special Olympics Medical form on file in order to be eligible. All participants will be automatically placed on our mailing list and will receive flyers, newsletters and other information regarding our programs.

Program Fees
Fees vary by program.

Registration
Persons must register at the Parks & Recreation Department, located on the 3rd floor of City Hall. Note: Parental and medical forms must be returned prior to the medical deadline date! All activities feature local practices and may include area and state competition.

Volunteers
There is a great need for volunteers willing to give some of their time to this special population especially with the Special Olympics sports programs.  Working with people with disabilities is a highly rewarding experience and something you will remember all your life.
