Dog Parks
La Crosse is now one of only 500 existing cities in America that has designated Dog Park areas!  To continue these park areas, owners must be responsible and utilize the following rules:

  1. Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-leash areas.
  2. Dogs must stay within the designated areas.
  3. All litter must be picked up and deposited in designated containers.

Designated Dog Park Areas
The following parks have designated dog park areas:

  • Dr. Fred Dog Park - East Ave. & Gordon Rd. by Myrick Park
This park was named on behalf of Fred who was a long-time friend of the coulee region Humane Society. Dr. Fred spread joy and happiness everywhere he went.  Check out this new park and see the enjoyment of the dogs and their owners.
  • Coming soon! A 5-acre fenced dog park on the east side of Houska Park. Amenities will include separate areas for small and large dogs, drinking fountains, restrooms, adequate parking, and doggie bag dispensers. Estimated completion is fall 2010.

Help keep the parks clean. Please pick up after yourself and your pet!
