ABR Employment Services, in partnership with the City of La Crosse, is seeking a Deputy Director of Human Resources to provide day to day supervision and administration of human resources functions for the City of La Crosse. The employee works under the direction of the Director of Finance and Purchasing/Treasurer.
Successful candidate shall have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management, business, public administration or a related field of study with seven years experience in the personnel management function, at least four of which are at the supervisory managerial level; or combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in collective bargaining required. Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office.
Salary range for this exempt, management position is: $80,088.47 - $86,879.13, with annual earning potential up to $105,048.13 (salary commensurate with qualifications). The City offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical benefit plan, Wisconsin Retirement Plan, deferred compensation, life insurance, income continuation insurance, voluntary dental and vision plan, deferred compensation, Roth IRA, paid holidays, vacations and sick leave.
