The City of La Crosse is seeking to fill two full-time, non-exempt positions at La Crosse’s premier convention site and entertainment destination for concerts, conventions, trade shows, entertainment and sporting events. Position is responsible to prepare the La Crosse Center for events by providing set-up and tear down, general building and grounds custodial duties, snow removal, routine building maintenance tasks and providing lead janitor/maintenance guidance to a casual labor staff.
Candidates shall have a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years progressively responsible janitorial maintenance experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Previous experience in a leadership role desirable. Valid Driver’s License required. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of various work hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays. Starting wage for this position is $17.09 – $18.04 per hour (80 hours bi-weekly).
