The City of La Crosse is accepting applications for a full-time Sales & Event Coordinator to work at the La Crosse Center. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for developing and implementing sales plans to attract conventions, trade shows and other events to the La Crosse Center; actively seeking clients for events; and coordinating events with clients and event staff.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in sales, business, or related field, four years sales experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Convention center or hotel experience preferred. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. AutoCad experience preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. Selected candidate subject to background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug screen.
Annual salary range for this exempt position is $51,874.51 to $59,410.50, depending on qualifications. The City offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical insurance, voluntary dental and vision plans, Wisconsin Retirement Plan, deferred compensation, Roth IRA, life insurance, income continuation insurance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
