If you are looking for scheduling flexibility, daytime hours, post-retirement work, or extra cash, this is the perfect opportunity to work part-time based on your availability.  The La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for part-time clerical staff.  This position is responsible for registration for Parks and Recreation programs, general customer service, and clerical tasks.  Specific duties include public reception, answering phones, and processing registrations and payments.  Applicants must have good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher preferred.

Computer Instructor

Flexible (paid!) part-time job opportunity with City of La Crosse Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department! The La Crosse Parks and Rec Department is looking for a motivated instructor to teach computer classes at both Neighborhood Centers located in La Crosse. Most classes are geared towards Senior Citizens. Classes include, but are not limited to, Intro to Facebook, Computer Basics, Craigslist, iPad Classes, Skype, Microsoft Word, Pinterest, Digital Photos, etc. Please contact Kat for more information or to submit an application. Special Olympics Coaches

Outgoing individuals needed to coach various Special Olympics Sports (see sports below). Coaches are required to attend practices two or three times a week as well as chaperone at all scrimmages and tournaments during the season. No experience needed, but recommend general knowledge of the sport coaching. Must be able to work with volunteers and experience working with individuals with special needs is preferred. Youth Sport Coaches

If you believe that participation in sports plays an integral role in the development of a child's character, confidence, and social skills this could be an excellent opportunity for you. The hours are flexible (typically, evenings and weekends).This is the perfect opportunity for teachers (or aspiring teachers), coaches, and college students with a sports background, or for anyone who would like to impact the lives of children and has a knowledge of sports.
