Civilian Service Employee

The City of La Crosse Police Department is currently accepting applications for the part-time (20 hours per week) position of Civilian Service Employee.

This position performs a variety of law enforcement support functions such as parking ordinance enforcement, directing traffic, assisting crossing guards, handling minor assistance calls, preparing reports and performing clerical tasks.

Schedule 

This position may require working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as determined.  Schedule flexibility may be available based on a candidate's school schedule.  This is a limited term employment for a duration of up to two years.

Qualifications

Candidates shall have an Associates Degree or be enrolled in Criminal Justice or related field.  Candidates must have a valid motor vehicle operator's license.

Special Requirements

The selected candidate is subject to a background check and post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, physical, and must pass and maintain a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
