Important COVID-19 Related MTU Updates:
The lobby at Grand River Station (314 Jay Street) remains closed as of March 18.
Buses will continue to use the outdoor platform at Grand River Station as the main transfer point.
Beginning Monday, March 23rd, the MTU will begin hourly service (no longer 30-minute service). The first run will begin at 5:40 a.m. and continue hourly, ending at 10:40 p.m.
Please note: The MTU will no longer offer Sunday service. The MTU will operate six days (Monday through Saturday) each week.

La Crosse MTU provides safe and convenient public transportation services to the La Crosse area. Our service area currently includes La Crosse, French Island, a portion of Onalaska, and La Crescent, Minnesota. The service is owned and operated by the City of La Crosse with financial support from the communities we serve.
Our bus routes consist of 8 fixed-routes and 2 flex-routes offering transportation throughout the area, with most routes operating seven days a week.
Specialized or Para-transit service is available for individuals unable to use fixed route buses. This specialized service, called MTU Mobility Plus, is under contract to a private provider and is only available to individuals certified as ADA Para-transit eligible.
