 La Crosse Regional Airport Selects Lauren Koss as new La Crosse Regional Airport Director

 La Crosse, WI – January 22, 2026

Mayor Washington-Spivey and the La Crosse Regional Airport are proud to announce the selection of Lauren Koss as the new La Crosse Regional Airport Director, effective Friday, February 13, 2026, following Common Council confirmation on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Koss will oversee all airport operations, strategic planning, and ongoing development initiatives.

Koss brings a wealth of experience to this role with 10 years of experience in the aviation field and a Master of Science in Aviation and Aerospace Management. Most recently Koss has been serving as Interim La Crosse Regional Airport Director since October 24, 2025.

Mayor Washington-Spivey states “Lauren’s academic achievements, combined with her professional experience and certifications is why she is qualified to serve as our Airport Director. She is dedicated to our community and to making our airport better for our customers. Lauren’s ability to lead teams, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and her desire for innovation reflects her commitment to operational excellence and public service.”

I have worked closely with Lauren Koss in her Deputy Director position for the last two-and one-half years. As Chair of the Aviation Board, I have experienced her expertise and attention to detail. As the La Crosse Regional Airport Director, Koss will continue to lead the airport’s strategic development and daily operations, with a strong emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. Koss will also support air service development and long-term planning to ensure the airport meets the needs of the community and aviation partners.
