In honor of Rosa Parks’ birthday, the City of La Crosse Municipal Transit is joining many public transportation agencies across the country in recognizing February 4^th, 2026, as “Transit Equity Day. Rosa Parks advocated safe, affordable and reliable public transportation as a civil right for all.

“Public Transit is vital in connecting people to jobs, education and health services,” says Adam Lorentz, City of La Crosse Director of Transit.

Please join us on Wednesday February 4^th, 2026, in observing this national effort to ensure that public transportation remains a community asset that does not leave anyone behind.
