Temporary Marsh Trail Closures

Jim Asfoor and Vietnam Veterans Trails will be temporarily closed on February 12th and February 13th.

La Crosse, Wisconsin – The City of La Crosse in collaboration with Northern Natural Gas Company will facilitate the temporary closure of the Jim Asfoor Trail on February 12th and the Vietnam Veterans Trail on February 13th, 2026. The closures will begin at the southern trail entrances located on Copeland Ave. and continue north along the trails until they meet with Monitor St (Asfoor) and Lang Drive (Vietnam Vets). This closure allows for NNG to conduct investigative soil borings in sections of each trail.

Unaffected La Crosse River Marsh trails will remain open for use during this time. For updates on the status of Marsh Trail closures, please visit cityoflacrosse.org/parks or contact our office directly.
