Projecting triangular pediment shaped window heads on 1st story and straight flat linels on 2nd story; side lighted entrance door with transom window; two sided porch iwth rounded corner and Tuscan columns on paneled bases; rectangular bay window on east side. Two story frame rear porch. 2015- "The two-story painted bnrick Louis Meason House has the three-bay cubic mass, hip roof with overhanging eaves and tall, narrow windows typical of the Italianate style. The lack of paired brackets, dentils and other Classical details separate this house from others of the Italianate style in the district. The simplified exterior ornament, especially the low-relief pedimented window lintels reflect a very late influence of the Greek Revival style. Louis Meason was an important late 19th century photographer in La Crosse. He had a studio in the Meason Building located on the south-east corner of State and Third streets. The recent restoration of the Meason House enhances the simple elegance of this historic middle class residence." -"La Crosse, Wisconsin: 10th & Cass Residential Historic District Tour", Prepared by Eric J. Wheeler, (2015).
