Capital Projects Budget Process

Departments prepare and turn in their capital project requests no later than February 15th. Those requests are presented to the City Planning Commission no later than May 1st. The commission shall prepare and submit a five-year capital projects budget recommendation on or before July 1st to the Common Council through its Finance & Personnel Committee.

Capital Equipment Budget Process

Departments prepare and turn in their capital equipment requests no later than the third Monday in January. Those requests are reviewed by the Board of Public Works no later than the third Monday of February. On or before April 1st, the Board of Public Works shall file with the Common Council through its Finance & Personnel Committee the proposed five year capital equipment budget.
