Rugs for Mugs- Coffee Shop Logos

Throw rugs are a significant cause falls reported at emergency rooms for people over 65.* Emplify Health by Gundersen, Onalaska Fire Department, and La Crosse Fire Department have teamed up with local coffee shops to help address this hazard. Turn in your rugs at any of the listed coffee shops during the month of March 2026 and receive a free coffee mug filled with the house brew.

Rugs will be repurposed to build winterized shelters for outdoor animals, working with other local partners to make this a reality.
