IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING FITNESS CLASSES

All classes require registration.  Drop-ins are not accepted.  Classes must meet the minimum participation requirements to be held.  Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable.  Registration includes two possible class cancellations for unforeseen events.  If classes are cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a credit or refund.  NOT SURE ABOUT A CLASS?  Try it out the first day for FREE.  If you like it you can register for the session!

**All participants need to register, pay, and sign a waiver on the first day of class.  Please plan to arrive in advance so class can start on time.**

Myrick Park Center Fitness Classes

Shin Jin Do  (#538100-42)  Based on the internal arts of Qigong, Tai Chi and Aikido, this training aims to increase mind/body integration, calm the spirit and discover the beginnings of compassion.  Instructors Dave and John will include: stretching emphasizing the fascia; drills focusing on efficient, integrated movement  to reduce stress and promote relaxation and flow; techniques of partnered, non-resistant conflict resolution to improve interpersonal relationships and cooperation.  Meets Mondays/Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:00pm.  Ages 18+  *Min 7*  ($90/$60)  *No Class 1/20, 2/17, 4/1, 4/6

Mommy & Me Yoga  (#538100-32)  This class is for parents with babies ages 3 months-4 years.  Sara teaches this class that offers a gentle, relaxing and fun way to bond with your child using a unique blend of yoga postures, infant developmental movement and parent/child bonding techniques.  Please bring a yoga mat.  Meets Mondays, 4:00pm-4:45pm.  *Min 5*  ($35/$23)  *No Class 1/20

Senior Fitness  (#548100-21)  This exercise class with Nad offers seniors a combination of weight resistance to strengthen bones and joints; and aerobics to strengthen the heart.  Equipment provided.  Let’s get moving!  Meets Mondays/Wednesdays, 9:00am-10:00am.  Ages 50+  *Min 10*  ($68/$45)  *No Class 1/6, 1/8, 1/20, 1/22, 2/19, 3/23, 3/25, 3/30, 4/1, 4/8

This exercise class with Nad offers seniors a combination of balance and stretching to center the body and lengthen the muscles for greater flexibility.  Equipment provided.  Let’s get centered!

Morning Alignment Vinyasa

This class uses a gentle approach to alignment in yoga postures and conscious breathing to develop mindfulness and concentration in our practice on and off the mat.  Through proper alignment and mindful action, you will work on balance, strength, flexibility and physical/mental/emotional/relaxation.  Please bring a yoga mat.

South Side Neighborhood Center Fitness Classes

Yoga for Beginners  (#538100-41)  Yoga is not just for skinny people in spandex!  This class, taught by Cheri, makes yoga accessible whether you are overweight, older or just not very flexible.  Please bring a yoga mat.  Ages 18+  *Min 10*  ($81/$54)  Meets Mondays/Fridays, 9:00am-10:00am.

Yoga for Arthritis  (#538100-39)  Join Cheri in this low impact yoga class designed to strengthen your muscles and increase mobility.  This class is for people challenged by arthritis or the stiffness that comes with age or injury.  This class will help us regain our strength, poise and agility.  Please bring a yoga mat.  Meets Mondays/Fridays, 10:15am-11:15am.  Ages 18+.  *Min 10*  ($81/$54)  *No Class 3 Days TBD

Yoga with Renae  (#538100-34)  This class is designed to release stress while improving your strength, flexibility and concentration, taught by Renae.  Please bring a yoga mat.  
Meets Mondays/Wednesdays, 5:30pm-6:45pm.  Ages 15+ unless with a parent/guardian.  *Min 10*  ($92/$61)  *No Class 1/20, 2/17, 2/19, 4/6, 4/8

Tai Chi  (#538100-35)  Improve your balance, reduce your fall risk, increase mindfulness and relaxation, and improve your strength with Diane.  This class is open to everyone, even if you have physical limitations, and can accommodate those that need extra support while standing and can even be practiced while seated.  The movements have been simplified to make them easier to learn but still retain many benefits of the traditional form.  Meets Fridays, 11:30am-12:30pm.

Black River Beach Neighborhood Center Fitness Classes

Adaptive Yoga  (#538100-37)  This gentle form of yoga uses chairs, blocks, straps and other props to assist in getting the maximum benefit out of each pose.  Sara will focus on breathing, stretching, strengthening and relaxation.  This class is a great workout for any ability level and is designed for people with physical disabilities and can be done while sitting in a chair.  
Meets Tuesdays, 4:00pm-5:00pm.  Ages 18+  *Min 10*  ($36/$24)  *No Class 2/18, 3/3, 4/7

Hatha Yoga  (#538100-40)  Let Sara help improve your balance, strength, flexibility and concentration while relieving stress through various yoga postures, breath work and guided meditation.  Suitable for all fitness levels.  Please bring a yoga mat.  Meets Tuesdays, 5:15pm-6:15pm.  Ages 18+  *Min 10*  ($35/$23)  *No Class 2/4, 2/18, 3/3, 4/7
