Project Purpose:

The project includes safety and traffic calming measures to promote the use of the Avon Street corridor as a safe alternative for commuters and recreational bicyclists, pedestrians, and other non-motorized transportation users via the use of:

• crosswalk markings
• new sidewalk
• traffic circles
• raised intersections
• curb extensions

Public Involvement Meeting: 

The meeting will be held at Black River Beach Neighborhood Center at 1433 Rose Street, La Crosse, on Tuesday, February 17 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. You may attend any time during this time frame.

Project Scope:
