The length of the project is 2869 feet and contains 6 street intersections and 5 alley intersections. The project corridor is primarily zoned Commercial, except for Cameron Park. Within the corridor there is one park, a transit station, a bank, a school, an apartment complex, two hotels, a bar, three restaurants, a Regional Arts Center and a Performing Arts Center.
What is a Greenway?
La Crosse’s Neighborhood Greenways, also known as slow streets, are streets with low motorized traffic volumes and speeds, designated and designed to give bicycle and pedestrian travel priority. La Crosse’s Neighborhood Greenways use signs, pavement markings, green infrastructure, and speed and volume management measures to create safe places for people to bicycle and walk.
