The La Crosse Police Department has four School Resource Officers (SROs) that work in conjunction with the La Crosse School District to ensure a safe learning environment.  These officers are truly part of the school community with their duties expanding well beyond enforcement to include preventative classroom instruction on topics such as Gang Resistance Education And Training (G.R.E.A.T.) and other alternative summer programming.
