The La Crosse Police Department Professional Standards/Community Services Bureau provides fingerprinting services to the general public.
Fingerprints are done by appointment only on Mondays from 1:00PM-3:00PM or Thursdays from 9:00AM-12:00PM. The cost for fingerprinting is $20.00 per person and requires a valid government-issued ID.
We now offer two options for scheduling your fingerprinting appointment:
- Online scheduling; or
- Call us at (608) 789-7240.
If you wish to use the online scheduling website, you have the option of creating a profile (helpful if you frequently schedule employees for fingerprinting) or you can skip this part. You will be required to enter your full name, phone number, email address, and employer (if you are not scheduling fingerprints for an employer, enter N/A or None). The payment of $20 will be due at the time of service, unless your employer will be paying. If this is the case, your employer must contact us to set up a payment account with the city. We accept only cash or check (ATM available).
