Mayor and City Council Will Host District Forums

La Crosse, WI — Starting on Monday, June 8, Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey will co-host forums with city council members in their respective districts.

“As your Mayor, I want to hear from you,” he said. “Inclusive governance is extremely Important to me. Your thoughts and insight shape this city and inform policy and social change.”

The Mayor underscored that with each district having unique priorities and challenges, it was imperative to discuss a range of topics, including but not limited to, fostering safe and supportive communities, bolstering a thriving local economy, and promoting the engagement of the city’s youth.

City Council President Tamra Dickinson said she hopes that residents take the opportunity to connect with the Mayor and their district’s elected official. “My colleagues and I look forward to speaking with our constituents,” she stated. “We work in service of the people of La Crosse. As we plan and envision a city for future generations, we welcome input and feedback.”
