LA CROSSE, WI — Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey joined RyKey Properties yesterday for the Lofts at River Point Appreciation Celebration. This 55-unit complex in the vibrant River Point District broke ground in March 2025 and opened its doors to renters in April 2026.
“I am always elated to see the materialization of public/private collaborations,” the Mayor stated. “The River Point District is a remarkable partnership between the City, the Redevelopment Authority, and private entities that increases our housing stock, provides opportunities for families and young professionals, and revitalizes access to our historic downtown.”
RyKey CEO, Lee Haremza, said that it has been a pleasure to work with the City of La Crosse. “I’ve worked in a lot of cities and municipalities, and this has been one of the easiest processes,” he said. “This is our first building; we plan to be bigger in La Crosse than we are In Eau Claire, Menomonie, Chippewa Falls, or any other place.”
At over 49,000 square feet, this four-story building offers one- and two-bedroom units featuring modern open-concept layouts, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, contemporary finishes, and in-home laundry. The property also includes a fitness center outfitted with a sauna, a pet playground, an outdoor grill, and other amenities.
“We’re thrilled to be part of La Crosse and the River Point District,” Rykey Project Manager Jason Schilling shared. “We break ground this fall on a 60-unit building and expect to start a 160-unit project in late 2027 or early 2028. River Point is one of the most exciting, up-and-coming neighborhoods in the region—riverfront living, walkable connections to downtown, and a real sense of momentum. We’re proud to invest here and help this district grow.”
A retail space of over 2,500 square feet on the building’s first floor is currently available for rent.
