The City of La Crosse Remembers 9/11 with Public Ceremony

LA CROSSE, WI – The City of La Crosse will hold a remembrance ceremony at 7:40 a.m. Friday at City Hall to pay tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the dedicated first responders who served courageously. This Friday marks the 25^th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

“I remember where I was twenty-five years ago and those moments will be forever etched in my mind,” Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey reflected. “I will never forget the victims, their families, and the first responders who showed incredible bravery and courage.”

This public ceremony will feature brief remarks from the Mayor, a moment of silence, and a bell tribute.
