LA CROSSE, WI – The City of La Crosse will hold a remembrance ceremony at 7:40 a.m. Friday at City Hall to pay tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the dedicated first responders who served courageously. This Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

“I remember where I was twenty-five years ago and those moments will be forever etched in my mind,” Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey reflected. “I will never forget the victims, their families, and the first responders who showed incredible bravery and courage.”

This public ceremony will feature brief remarks from the Mayor, a moment of silence, and a bell tribute.
