The City of La Crosse will be closed for business on Friday, July 3, 2026 in observance of Independence Day (Fourth of July). City Hall and other municipal offices will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, July 6, 2026.

LA CROSSE, WI — The City of La Crosse has issued a Request for Proposals(PDF, 540KB) (RFP) for the reuse of tax parcel #17-10113-110, located at 1552 Kane Street. The existing structure was built in 1940 and had been used as the North Community Library since 1941.
The purpose of the RFP is to give community members an opportunity to repurpose this facility. The information collected will help guide policymakers as they consider next steps.
The deadline to submit a proposal is 4 p.m. CST Friday, August 14. Proposals should be submitted electronically to the Department of Planning and Development at planning@cityoflacrosse.org. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.
