LA CROSSE, WI — In support of Week Without Driving, the La Crosse Area Planning Committee and the City of La Crosse will host their annual Ride with Local Leaders event at 9 a.m. Friday, October 2, starting at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center (1433 Rose Street, La Crosse, WI).
The ride is free, open to the public, and will follow a roughly six-mile loop from the La Crosse Northside to Onalaska and back.
Week Without Driving is a national initiative that raises awareness of the challenges non-drivers face and explores the benefits of creating access to all modes of transportation. “I look forward to this year’s ride,” Mayor Shaundel Washington-Spivey stated. “This event provides a great opportunity for the community to discuss active transportation and city infrastructure with their elected officials.”
