LCPD Seeks Information on Location of Individual involved in Stabbing

On Saturday September 26, 2026, at approximately 11:06 p.m., La Crosse Police responded to a reported stabbing in the 100 Block of North Third St. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located an adult victim who had sustained injuries from the incident and was transported to a local hospital. Officers immediately conducted a search of the surrounding area, but the suspect had already fled the scene. We are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect in the stabbing, Paul D. Thomas Jr. (11/07/1995). The preliminary investigation indicates this was an isolated incident.

"Our officers worked tirelessly throughout the high-demand Oktoberfest weekend to manage dozens of simultaneous calls for service," said La Crosse Police Chief Shawn Kudron. "We are now turning to our community to help us locate Mr. Thomas who is responsible for this violent act."
