On April 24, 2026, at approximately 1:39 PM, La Crosse Police were dispatched to the area of 900 8th Street South for a shots call. Witnesses described a subject who was walking away from the scene. Officers contacted the subject, who was identified as being the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident at 1:45PM near 8th and Mississippi Streets. No injuries have been reported, and this appears to be an isolated incident.
Tyri M. Roquemore (D.O.B. 09-25-1981) was arrested for the following charges related to this incident:
941.20(1)(B) Operate/Go Armed with Firearm While Intoxicated
941.30(2) 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
941.29(1M)(A) Possession of Firearm by Felon
946.49(1)(B) Felony Bail Jumping
Mr. Roquemore is presumed innocent, until proven guilty. This continues to be an active investigation.
