LA CROSSE, WI — The City of La Crosse Municipal Transit (MTU) will partner with the School District of La Crosse to host a City-Wide Youth Summer Ride from noon to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.
“We are proud to be a part of a network of connectivity that allows La Crosse to be a multimodal municipality,” said MTU Director Adam Lorentz. “We strive to help our youth build the confidence and skills to independently navigate our city's public transit.”
During this “Amazing Race” style ride, student groups will travel around the city to multiple locations, including the Public Library, City Hall, Logan Middle School, Grand River Station, The Sweet Shop, and Ranison Ice Cream & Candy.
On Tuesday, MTU will also extend free rides to all young people between 4 and 17 years old.
