The La Crosse-Førde Friendship Association (LFFA) organizes exchanges of citizens and vocational groups from La Crosse, Wisconsin and Førde, Norway, along with bridging the gap between our cities and cultures, promoting the City of La Crosse and international trade for local businesses, connecting people to their heritage, and spreading friendship across the Atlantic Ocean.

Førde, Norway, a city of 11,500 inhabitants, is the county center for Sogn and Fjordane County. With its central location, Førde is the most important commercial center between Ålesund and Bergen. Sogn and Fjordane Regional Hospital, upper secondary schools and colleges are located here, as are NRK (Norwegian National Broadcasting) Sogn and Fjordane and branches of the County and County Governor’s administrative offices.
