Investigation Underway after South Side Shooting

At approximately 5:42 p.m. on August 20, 2026, La Crosse Police responded to reports of gunfire in the 600 Block of South Fifth Ave. No injuries were reported. The street was temporarily closed to allow investigators to safely process the scene. 

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
