A photo ID is required to receive a ballot in all elections.

The number of Provisional Ballots for the City of La Crosse will be posted on election night (after 8:00 pm, the close of polls) on the County of La Crosse Elections webpage.

Where/How do I Register to Vote?
Click the above link to get information on where and how you can register to vote. This is a great place to start for all of you first time voters!
If you will be out of town on an election day and still want to vote in a local election, click the above link for information about absentee voting. This is great for those that are overseas or are currently on military assignment. Please note: If you are not registered to vote, you must be registered before an absentee ballot can be sent to you.

How do I become an Election Inspector?
The City of La Crosse City Clerk's Office needs more than 100 Election Inspectors to work at the polls every election. You can join this team of caring individuals who help ensure this basic right of citizenship: to vote in a fair, free election.
High School Election Workers
A student who is 16 or 17 years of age and who is enrolled in grades 9-12 in a public or private high school and has at least a 3.0 GPA may serve as an election inspector with the approval of the student's parent or guardian.
