The Human Resources department functions as a service to both external and internal customers within the municipal organization. The department exists to promote a culture that will optimize the relationship between the City of La Crosse's organizational goals and the individual employee's employment objectives. The department strives to achieve this standard through oversight of fair and equitable employment policies, recruitment and subsequent retention of persons with outstanding talent and abilities, promotion of a culture that provides a stimulating and challenging work environment, and emphasis towards an organization that values a unique and diverse mix of individuals.
