Bluffview Park, located at 28th and Jackson Streets, is a neighborhood park nestled at the base of Grandad Bluff. The park has tennis courts, a basketball court, and two baseball fields as well as a playground and shelter, all with a beautiful view of our area’s most well known bluff.
The 6 acre park was originally known as the 28th and Jackson Street Playground. The playground was leased by the City of La Crosse from the School District of La Crosse in the 1950’s. In 1978 the land was swapped with what is now known as Swanson’s Field near Logan High School, and became City property. On October 13, 2016, Bluffview Park was dedicated as a public park by the La Crosse City Council.
