Green Island Park

It’s a popular spot for walking, picnicking, and enjoying wildlife, with easy access to nearby trails and river activities. The park contains an ice arena, and multiple well-maintained tennis courts. Located at 2312 7th Street South along the Mississippi River, Green Island Park is a major recreation hub on the city’s south side. Established in 1980, the park has grown into a destination for athletics and outdoor activity, anchored by the Green Island Ice Arena and tennis court facilities. With open green space, river access, and regional sports amenities, it serves both neighborhood users and visitors from across the community.
