Houska Park

Houska Park is located on the north side of La Crosse along the bank of the Mississippi River and is one of the area’s largest and most versatile active parks. Complete with baseball/softball fields, a dog park, bathrooms, shelters, and green spaces, it provides space for both organized activities and casual outdoor enjoyment.

Dog Park

The Houska Dog Park is a 5-acre, fenced dog park on the east side of Houska Park.  Amenities include drinking fountains, restrooms, adequate parking, and doggie bag dispensers. 

To continue this park area, owners must be responsible and utilize the following rules: 

  • Dogs must be leashed when not in designated off-leash areas.
  • Dogs must stay within the designated areas.
  • All litter must be picked up and deposited in designated containers.
