Figure Skating
The La Crosse Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department offers Youth Figure Skating for children of all ability levels at Green Island Ice Arena. Our traditional group classes are for ages 5 years old to seniors in high school.
Session One features small group sizes which allow skaters to get more individualized attention to develop stronger skating skills.
Session Two is all about show preparation! Skaters must participate in Session One to participate in Session Two. Lessons will not be given in Session Two. All skaters will be broken into groups for show choreography. Each skater will take part in multiple numbers plus the closing line. Each skater will be borrowing a La Crosse Figure Skating Club costume for each routine. All costumes will be returned before the end of the show. Each skater will be given a closing line sweatshirt to keep.
If you have any questions regarding the program, please email Corry Marco, Off Ice Coordinator, or email Nikki Olson. Participants will need to supply their own skates.
