All Abilities Trane Park 1500 Chase Street, La Crosse, WI 54601 All Abilities Trane Park is an inclusive park designed for those with cognitive, sensory and physical challenges of all ages and allows everyone to have a place to play! All Abilities Trane Park is located at 15th and Chase Streets and opened in June of 2021 with colorful play areas and synthetic ground coverings allowing for wheelchair use and soft landings. Bluffview Park 2800 Jackson Street, La Crosse, WI 54601 Bluffview Park, located at 28th and Jackson Streets, is a neighborhood park nestled at the base of Grandad Bluff. The park has tennis courts, a basketball court, and two baseball fields as well as a playground and shelter, all with a beautiful view of our area’s most well known bluff. Burns Park 702 Main Street, La Crosse, WI 54601 Burns Park, platted as a public square in 1852, was the first public park in the City of La Crosse. Located on Main Street between 7th and 8th Streets, Burns Park provides a restful green space in downtown La Crosse. It was updated in 2020 with new landscaping, playscapes and chess tables. Carroll Park 1717 Marco Drive, La Crosse, WI 54601 Carroll Field is the City of La Crosse’s softball complex, located at 1717 Marco Drive. It was named for Robert “Kootch” Carroll, a baseball player and coach who, in 1969, founded the Stars of Tomorrow baseball tournament. He was a tireless supporter of youth baseball. Chad Erickson Memorial Park 3601 Park Lane Drive, La Crosse, WI 54601 Chad Erickson Memorial Park was created as a tribute to Chad Erickson, a young outdoor enthusiast and skilled fisherman who died in 1995 at age 15. The park contains a favorite place of Chad’s, the Vietnam Veterans Pond. The pond, which has been dredged, aerated and stocked with fish, has wheelchair accessible platforms for fishing. Civic Center Park 500 2nd Street S, La Crosse, WI 54601 Civic Center Park was created in 1980 as part of the downtown Harborview Development. It is a connecting walkway between Downtown La Crosse and Riverside Park at 2nd and Main Streets. A plaque recognizes this area as ‘Nathan Myrick’s original Townsite’ for La Crosse. Clayton E Johnson Park 4701 33rd Street S, La Crosse, WI 54601 Clayton E. Johnson park was originally called Juniper Park, and in 1995 was named after Clayton E. Johnson, who served on the City Council for 24 years. This 7.2 acre neighborhood park has a shaded greenspace and playground. It is located next to the Pammel Creek walking path.
